Thanksgiving Day and our Little Turkey's 1st Birthday!
This year we started our long awaited tradition of visiting the Perth Studio Tour on Thanksgiving Weekend (going into labour kind of ruined our plans in 2005). It was supposed to rain but we bravely ventured out and were rewarded by a gorgeous warm fall day of golden sunshine. The leaves were changing colours all over the Lanark Highlands and the studios we visited were set in some of the most picturesque locales. We bought blown glass jewelry, lovely pottery and I sat and rocked longingly in a beautiful, hand crafted rocking chair that I sadly had to leave behind. After a day spent traipsing the countryside we sated our appetites with Thanksgiving dinner at a nice little restaurant in Perth. Chloë opened up a few presents from family (the rest were being saved for her party the next weekend) and was an absolute angel given that the four course meal took over two hours and went way past her bedtime.
