The Princess Diaries
From Ruling Queen of Absolutely Everything, now reduced to a mere minion, doting on my daughter's every whim. Welcome to the reign of Chloë Isabella. She is our sun - pure sunshine, light and warmth... and a stubborn independence that will turn you to ash if you don't get out of her way.

I am a Mama! Our precious baby girl, Chloë Isabella was born in October 2005. So of course I am little preoccupied with all things baby related at the moment. Want to talk about home birth? Breastfeeding? Natural parenting? Homemade organic babyfood? Posh new baby gear? You catch the drift...

This week we stayed over at Auntie Melly's to look after the girls while Mel & Ian were away. The girls had a wonderful time playing together... taking turns pushing Baby Chloë on her trike on our way to the park, playing dolls in the playroom, watching The Little Mermaid and sharing all their meals and naps together. The girls think she is their very own life size doll. Keelyn was very excited to have Chloë share a room with her, and took great pride in being my big girl helper. She loved getting to dress Chloë, put her in her highchair, feed her, and help wash her hair in the tub. Skills that will come in handy when Mommy gives birth to number 4 in the spring! My first time getting 4 girls under the age of six dressed in winter clothes and out of the door to meet the bus with lunches and homework in tow was quite the challenge. So many pairs of boots, mittens and backpacks! Utter chaos. And the more they 'help' the more chaos ensues. Like Kylie 'helping' me pack the note for Jordyn's teacher, except she packed it into her own lunchbag, God love her. Or me searching everywhere that day for Chloë's sippy cup only to find out later that Jordyn had packed it in her schoolbag having not understood that Chloë was only walking her to nursery school... not joining her in class that day. All in all though, we managed well and we were sad to leave on Friday night when Granny and Poppa Latour came to take over the weekend shift.
